Repair a disconnected server
Recover when the dashboard cannot reach Discord or the bot stops responding.
Identify the failure
Section titled “Identify the failure”Check the public status page first. If Axon is operational, run /axon status and review the affected server overview. /axon setup is available when you want the permission check inside Discord.
A dashboard session can remain valid while the bot lacks channel access, sits below a managed role, or has been removed from the server.
Repair the installation
Section titled “Repair the installation”- Restore the Axon role and required channel permissions.
- Move the role to the correct position in Discord hierarchy.
- Reinstall Axon only if the application is no longer present in Server Settings.
- Run /axon diagnose and confirm the dashboard returns to Connected.
Do not create a second installation
Section titled “Do not create a second installation”Use the existing Axon application entry when repairing permissions. Repeated invites do not fix role order and can make the source of a permission problem harder to identify.
