Permissions and Discord role hierarchy
Understand what Axon can act on and why a command may be denied by Discord.
Axon checks both people and Discord
Section titled “Axon checks both people and Discord”Dashboard access and Discord action permission are separate checks. A staff member may be allowed to open a module but still lack the Discord permission required for a ban, role change, or channel action.
Discord also blocks actions against members whose highest role is equal to or above the acting member or Axon role.
Set the role order
Section titled “Set the role order”- Open Server Settings in Discord and choose Roles.
- Move the Axon role above managed member roles and below owner or protected staff roles.
- Keep protected roles listed in the Moderation and Cases settings.
- Review the server overview for any remaining warning, or run /axon setup for the same check in Discord.
Grant the least access needed
Section titled “Grant the least access needed”Start with the permissions requested during installation. Add channel-specific access only where a module needs to read, post, manage messages, or create ticket rooms.
